Initial Idea For Music Promo

Initial Ideas For Music Promo
When we first listened to our chosen track Beth & I both agreed that this was a very upbeat, happy, youthful song which we felt necessary to show throughout the music video. We researched what was already in the pop charts for what had the same appeal and took inspiration from their music promos, here's the first moodboard for our very first ideas of what we imagine to see alongside Riley Beiderers Daylight.
We felt that this song should include the general gist of groups of young people, acting like a stereotypical teenagers and enjoying themselves, furthermore we wanted the video to relate to the lyrics of the song, the lyrics have the common theme of nature/weather running through them which we felt would be perfect for location choices. Furthermore we felt that the promo needed to include the actor partly singing and partly included in the storyline/narrative although we didn't want to use band shots as conventionally pop promos tend not to film musicians with a band and all the separate instruments. We also had the idea when it comes to editing the footage to put a gentle filter over the clips, to make them look slightly different like Carly Rae Jepson has in her song 'Good Time'.

Our tryout/example:
We also took inspiration from Ariana Grande's music video for Baby I, as we wanted to include glares from the sun within our music promo as our song is called Daylight we felt this would be quite fitting and also looks aesthetically pleasing.
